Phillip, I have not been to Pompey Peak but I think as far as passable roads go an option may be to drive to Jackpot Lake and hike the trail from there. If you go via Jackpot Lake, Cispus Point is a worthwhile side trip. Jim

Have any of you actually been to Pompey Peak? We tried to from the forest road but it was so overgrown, any better way? We didnt even make it to the trail head from the road.
