Sunset over Spada Lake
Spada Lake is a reservoir located 8 miles north of the town of Sultan, Washington and is the principal water supply for approximately 75% if Snohomish County. The area was identified by the late US Senator, Henry "Scoop" Jackson as a tremendously great opportunity for water, power and outdoor recreation. Although water and power continue to be beneficial resources for this region, unfortunately due to the failure of local political bodies the area is nearly a total loss for outdoor recreation due to the over regulation and restrictions applied to the entire vicinity. If Senator Jackson were still alive today he would be appalled at the lack of respect by the politicians for those who have cherished this area from childhood.
