Glorious Maple Trees

Yesterday I was fortunate to spend the day with Robert Ballard who introduced me to the Proxy Falls loop trail. The color along the trail was nothing short of spectacular. The falls were pretty darn awesome too, but the most interesting part of the hike was the Upper Proxy Falls that goes into a pool at the bottom but has no outlet. All that water coming in and then it disappears somewhere underground; quite perplexing!

What a great time we had walking, talking, shooting, observing, and soaking it all in... especially the rain. :)
