Hi, Jim!
I am the one who left a msg a year before. I asked about travelling in Provence. I have been to there last year. Fortunately, we can see the lavender blossom. It was awesome!! The pictures are always in my heart!

Hi,
We went to Provence in the early part of July. I don't no when the peak time for Lavender is, but I believe that we were on the waning end of the season. We stayed in Arles for 7 days and we loved it. Arles had a number of Roman ruins and was centrally located.
Some of the things that we liked best were; the Carmarge, the perched villages (Gordes), the Abbey (where the lavender was), the food, the wine, the light, the atmosphere and the history. Two places that we thought were beautiful were the towns of Rousillon, the colors and the architecture were amazing, and Baux de Provence, an ancient city on the top of a hill.
Also don't miss the Pont du Garde if you can work it in, a truly amazing work of human engineering

Hi~ Jim!
I stopped by searching Provence in pbase, I saw your photos of lavender fields. When did you go there? coz I am planning to go there in this summer, I can only be there in the end of July or early Aug, so I am afraid missing the blossom.
Also, how many days you stayed in Provence?? any good suggestions on the trip??
