Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

Our trip through Bryce Canyon was a sightseers hike. We were on our way to the Grand Canyon, and stopped mid-day to stretch our legs at Bryce. So this is a typical tourist view.

We walked along the Rim Trail to Sunset Point, and then descended on the Navajo Loop trail, past Wall Street. From there we hiked northerly to the Queens Garden trail, finally ascending to Sunrise Point.

The color of the hoodoos is dramatic.

Trip Tips
If your a photographer, you know to be in the Canyon when light is best...early morn or late afternoon....not midday as we were. There is plenty of lodging nearby, as well as plenty of tourist. But you'll have the advantage in the early morning light, when few tourist are on the trails.

You can go to the NPS Bryce website at http://www.nps.gov/brca/index.htm to get an overview of other features of the park
