The day was glorious and nothing improves a mediocre photographer more than sunlight.
We ate at the Three Horseshoes pub in Abbots Ripton. It has expanded greatly since I remember it on pub-crawls in the 70’s. We only had the Ploughman’s and it was good although it has been considerably “civilized” since the last time I was there. I recall workers bringing a dishcloth into the pub and the barmaid would fill it with the Ploughman’s of the day and the workers would leave with their dishcloth and a beer or two. While it didn’t seem to be as considerable it was still sufficient that one was enough for my wife and I. I can recommend it and the selection of summer ales, which I forgot to write down. Darn.
