2007-07-28 Day trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. Visiting a favorite site for Platanthera peramoena and whatever else catches my eye. Not as many P. peramoena plants as two years ago, but the plants that were there were in good shape. On the way back down the mountain, I couldn't resist stopping beside the highway to photograph other colorful flowers.
