2007-07-26 Orchids in SC upstate Heritage Preserves

2007-07-26 Afternoon trip to a couple of upstate South Carolina Heritage Preserves. Found Gymnadeniopsis clavellata (Green woodland orchid), Tipularia discolor (Cranefly orchid), and Goodyera pubescens (Rattlesnake plantain) in bloom. Thought I wasn't going to find T. discolor in bloom, since almost all of the plants were in full bud, but I did manage to find one in bloom. The rest will be in full bloom within the week. I found Goodyera pubescens in the range from in bud to past full bloom.
