Huahine (April 28-May2)

Huahine is really two islands (Huahine nui and Huahine iti), connected by a bridge. Although the ring road is very well maintained, both islands are strikingly, beautifully undeveloped. We drove, hiked, snorkeled, read and drew here for four days.

Wish we'd taken it, but it's a photograph at the Huahine airport cafe at the Huahine airport peninsula on which the Sofitel is located (that piece of land in the lower left) We didn't bring a camera along when we experienced one of these outings, but Larry Kuss and Linda Apodaca (whom we met a week later in Moorea) did.
