| In March of 2007, we traveled to Ecuador for two weeks. Our main intent was to see the Galapagos Islands. Prior to flying to the islands, we spent a few days in the hills northwest of Quito, at the extraordinarily peaceful (almost monastic) Hosteria San Jorge. We did the same on the way back, but by this time, having overcome altitude sickness and other ailments, we felt adventurous enough to rent a car and see a bit more of Ecuador. |
