CAPTAINS GUARD 1965

HMS GANGES

I could not come up with a good shot that is in keeping with today,
the day after Armistice Day, and the day before Remembrance Sunday.
So I thought I would let you have a fleeting glimpse into my past.
I had just turned 16, I had been in the RN at HMS GANGES for about
6 months. I, for those that are interested, am in the front rank,
8th from this end, and Captain Watson has just stopped to ask me
one of the set questions they have for times like this. It was a wet
November Sunday morning (I think) and it was the turn of my Class to
form the Guard. Happy Days. If you recognise yourself or anybody else
in this shot please get in touch.
Signed copies available at just £99.99 each. Cash Only and NO refunds.

What a fantastic shot! Very very cool, Jim. It's amazing how back in the day, boys were really men & now-a-days, the 16 year olds can only dream of being those kind of men. Nice trip thru time ~

You're right, happy days.
I was 15 years and 1 month behind you.

Have you been back since?
I keep meaning to, even if it's just the museum, but never get around to it.

There's not much left of the place so I hear.

Mr Fisk, I wonder what happend to all those photos he took in his time?

All the best
