For the last 5 weeks now I have had a radiator that holds water with the efficiency of a sponge.
Call me old fashioned but I am not willing to pay out £200 for a new one when the car is only
worth £400 at the most. Reconditioned thinks he, £120 in exchange for the old one, get lost
thinks he, "breakers yards" thinks he, 5 phone calls, search the web, found 1 second hand, from a breakers yard, age not known,
£75 delivered 14 day warenty, again get lost. IDEA, Ebay, Magic just the job 2 months old, the donor car was in a flood
and an insurance write off, problem! it is 180 miles away and the seller will not send it, it must be collected.
IDEA, My bestist mate lives only 20 miles from him and yes he will pick it up for me. Bingo,
we haven't met up for a while so he and his good lady will come and spend a few days with me bringing the radiator with them,
if I win the auction. As with most things Ebay if it is to be collected not many people will bid on it from outside the area,
so I won the Auction £15, RESULT. Problem John and Loz have to change plans and can not come down, so DHL are called in £10 and I should get it on Tuesday.
Now the question if you saw this in a car park and the driver came from behind the car and got in do you tell him he has a problem or do you let him find out for himself? Yes I have known about it but in five weeks not one person has even pointed at the front of the car.
