RUST IN PEACE.

Biggin Hill, London, England

We went to the Biggin Hill Air Show on Sunday and it was a great show. On the way back to the car park Joanne pointed this out to me, so I crossed the field and got a few shots, I have now been told that this is not the only plane like this and that there is a aircraft cemetary there, I can't understand why they are not disposed of but it makes an interesting shot. Yes I know I did not take it today but you did want to see it did you not?

A very interesting shot. Wonder why no one has taken it for scrap?

Wonderful shot, Jim. I like the contrast between the red rust and green foliage. The composition is excellent also.

I agree this does make for an interesting shot. I like the contrast between the rust and greenery. It's also interesting how the tip of the tail fin has been weather beaten and the rust has a slower rate of growth because it is just above the trees.
