Subway

Birmingham, England

In the 1960s and 1970s town planners and architects made dreadful mistakes in central Birmingham. Many impressive Victorian buildings were bulldozed and the city centre was choked by a concrete ring-road system. Pedestrians were often relegated to using dark and sometime dangerous subways and underpasses. Many have since been removed but some remain such as this one at Holloway Circus.

It looks like it should be closed up in this state of condition.

Always hated using subways of any description. This image shows why.

Like the perspective. I can see how this could be unsafe in the dark.
