Tabernacle Baptist Chapel at Cwmsymlog

Cwmsymlog, Ceredigion

Cwmsymlog is in a remote valley a few miles inland from Aberystwyth and was the location of a silver and lead mine. The mines have gone and the chapel that served the mining community is now, sadly, in a poor sate of repair.

A charming scene with the gravestones still standing, while the miners' precious chapel is bereft of its congregation.
No more Baptisms, Weddings, nor indeed Funerals.
This venerable Chapel must once have been the centre of the community.
I like the fact that you chose a Spring day, full of light and colour.
Splendid.

a lot of dignity there and the gravestones an excellent lead-in
