Cwm Idwal

Cwm Idwal, Snowdonia

The Cwm Idwal walk is an excellent circular walk through one of the finest examples of a glaciated valley in Britain.
"Cwm" is the Welsh word for valley.

Eye catching mountain. Vista. The trail running on both sides of the tarn is a fine addition. The two hog backs, so typical of glaciation, are positioned nicely. The lower, valley forms a lovely U shape, another sign of ice shaping the area. Great photo. Vote.
