The A44 from Llangurig to Aberystwyth represents the only practical approach to Aberystwyth from the rest of the UK. It is usually occupied by local traffic, lorries, cars towing caravans, coaches and agricultural vehicles so progress along it is seldom rapid. The scenery goes some way to compensating for motoring frustrations. To the right of the road is a juvenile River Wye. Taken from the southern slopes of Plynlimon.
