After visiting Hereford Cathedral, Mandy and I made a detour to the hamlet of Brockhampton in Herefordshire at the suggestion of Chris Morton http://www.pbase.com/crisscross/profile ). The small church there is beautiful. It was built in the 20th century but the architect W.R. Lethaby was a medievalist to whom a place of worship had to be a work of art. The Arts and Crafts theme is exemplified by the tapestries that can be seen on either side of the altar which are a prodict of William Morris to a design by Edward Burne-Jones. It was very dark inside - the picture doesn't really convey this. This shot is a blend of three exposures of 2.5, 10 and 30 seconds.
