Yoho National Park – British Columbia

Yoho National Park, bordered by Kootenay National Park to the south and Banff National Park to the east, is located in the Canadian Rockies along the western slope of the Continental Divide.

One of the park’s most prominent attractions, Emerald Lake, a glacial fed lake which gets its color from the glacial silt (aka, rock flour) flowing into it, is surrounded by the President Mountain Range including President Mountain, Wapta Mountain and Mount Burgess. Not far away is the Natural Bridge which was formed by the Kicking Horse River carving its way through a limestone formation which was once the site of a waterfall. There are also numerous towering peaks with many hosting glaciers.
