Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve – Kansas

The tallgrass prairie once covered over 140-million acres of land in North America. Today, less than 4 percent remains and the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve protects approximately ten-thousand acres of the once vast grassland prairie. The park also protects the Spring Hill/Z Bar Ranch which worked this land from 1878 through 1986.

What a time capsule this place is….it definitely looks like you stepped into a movie set . Love seeing the Bison in their habitat.
