2023 Interesting Stuff Along the Way (I SAW)

In 2023 I took my first steps to becoming the Bionic Man! It was a year set aside for repair and replace; first I had lower back surgery, followed by a right knee replacement in early June. Basically, my entire year was made up of surgeries and recovery!

I did go on a short daytrip to Tombstone, Arizona to visit the Earps and Clantons at the O.K. Corral; and because I was staying in Tucson for the summer, I moved my RV to the local KOA RV Park where I was able to park under a solar panel awning to avoid the blistering heat of the Arizona sun.

Since I had a little down time, I was able to complete my travel memoir that will be out in late March or early April 2024…in case you haven’t heard…

Other than that, the year was pretty uneventful except that Covid finally caught up to me in October; as if I needed an additional medical issue to deal with!

So, once again here is the much-anticipated end of year gallery of images I simply don’t know what else to do with…the things I SAW in 2023…the I-need-to-get-back-on-the-road-before-I-go-crazy edition!

Well you always have an eye for interesting things despite the major medical issues. I am 7 weeks post op myself following the fusion of S1-L5-L4. There is a lot of quality pain in there, but hopefully sets me up for an adventuresome 2024. Can’t wait to see what it brings for you and am keen to buy the epic book!
