Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site – Pennsylvania

Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site was established in 1938 after the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was used to reclaim the historic structures once used to supply the colonies during the Revolutionary War, and later the north during the Civil War. From its founding in 1771 through its last blast in 1883, Hopewell Furnace was an integral part of the development of the new nation.
