National Museum of the United States Air Force – Ohio

The National Museum of the United States Air Force located at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton Ohio is the world’s largest military aviation museum. Featured are aircraft from every era of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries along with missile, space and presidential aircraft galleries.

Contained within in the exhibit are historical pieces like the Apollo 15 Command Module and several Presidential Aircraft including the Boeing VC-137C SAM 26000 Presidential Aircraft on which Vice-President Lyndon B. Johnson was sworn in as the new president after President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated while traveling in a motorcade through downtown Dallas on November 22, 1963.
