Images I SAW (Interesting Stuff Along the Way) in 2020.

This end of year gallery is like none ever, and let’s hope it’s also like none evermore too! The pandemic grounded me just like it did everyone else. Okay, let’s see, now I’ve survived earthquakes, hurricanes, forest fires, my RV fire, getting lost in a cave, 129-degree temperatures, bear encounters, being relentlessly dive-bombed by nesting birds and now a pandemic; still waiting on the locus…

I started this gallery off with some Christmas images from 2019 just to add something pleasantly pre-pandemic to the mix but it rapidly goes downhill from there; although if you can imagine a world where we weren’t all quarantined and risking our lives to go to the grocery store, you might find a few interesting images to include a beautiful sunset or two.

Whereas my galleries normally showcase images from across the United States, this year everything you see will be as viewed from inside a thirty-mile radius from my home. Some of you will revel in the fact that instead of the usual 100-image end of year gallery there are only sixty images this year but the joke is on you because I could’ve easily made this gallery even smaller!

I learned one valuable lesson this year, surviving a Tucson summer in an RV is nearly unbearable. The 105-to-110-degree days where the sun’s rays heated up the metal sides of my RV made it impossible for my air conditioning units to keep up, baking everything inside including me. It got so bad that I left my parents land outside of Tucson and moved into town to a KOA RV Park. It was there I was able to sit in the shade under a large solar panel awning where it was ten to fifteen degrees cooler than in the sun. It cost me more but was well worth it…just another crazy 2020 experience!
