Taylor Made Farm – Kentucky (2019)

Taylor Made Farm located in Nicholasville Kentucky is an 1100 acre farm primarily geared to breeding its impressive roster of stallions including California Chrome, Not This Time and Mshawish. This place is immaculate! Every blade of grass trimmed or edged; every building and fence freshly painted. It was truly an impressive operation.

The big surprise for those of us on the tour was getting to meet 2014 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner California Chrome. There was talk that he would be away from this farm but plans changed and we were the lucky beneficiaries. We also had an up close visit with one of Chrome’s offspring, the yet to be named foal of Dr Fager’s Gal. Only time will tell if we will have been lucky enough to meet a Triple Crown winner before fame presents it to the world!
