Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area – North District – Montana

Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area was established in 1966 around the Yellowtail Dam and the 71 mile long Bighorn Lake that it created. The park straddles Montana and Wyoming with two road accessible sections; the North and the South Districts. Since there are no roads joining the two districts I was only able to visit the North District where the Yellowtail Dam resides.
