Although not as dramatic as it is when the water levels are higher, the Shoshone Falls the along the Snake River is a beautiful site, particularly on a clear sunny day. At 212 feet tall the falls are actually 45 feet higher than Niagara Falls.
About three miles downstream from the falls is the I.B. Perrine US 93 Highway Bridge over the Snake River Gorge. The truss arch span is located in the city of Twin Falls and has its own Visitor Center.

Cindy and I were on the Snake River, lower half of Hell’s Canyon, three weeks ago. Didn’t see any beautiful falls that you saw, but we went through several good rapids. If I haven’t mention to you, since May 20th through July 4th we have been on a RV Caravan following the Lewis and Clark Corp of Discovery trip up the Missouri and then over the mountains to the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean. I was great and I took 1,000’s of photos.
