2017 Oregon RV Fire – Oregon

These are images that you never want to post but after being jarred from a deep sleep by my smoke detector at 3 a.m. early Sunday morning May 28th I found myself outside my RV emptying a fire extinguisher and then spraying water at a fire creeping upwards from the refrigerator vent on the side of my motor-home...on the side of my home. Something in me believed that I could put it out until I looked in my kitchen window and saw the flames rolling across my ceiling, rolling like something you would see in a movie, and I knew that I had lost the battle. At that moment I went from active participant to spectator, watching everything I owned burn.

It's not the end of the story but a forced change of course...

Sorry to hear about the misfortune but really glad you weren't harmed. Totally amazed that you kept your presence of mind to photograph the chaos.
