Dallas - Texas

Dallas rises from the surrounding landscape, its gleaming steel and glass buildings reflecting sunlight in all directions; you see it from miles away as you enter the city from any of the many interstates that travel through and around the downtown area. It is how I remember it from even as far back as when I was a kid traveling with my parents across the west. It has grown since then and continues to grow as all the construction in the downtown area, including on the highways, demonstrates.

I was here to tour Dealey Plaza and snapped a few images around downtown, and since I took a wrong turn and ended up at Fair Park, also got a few shots of the old Cotton Bowl stadium. Besides that I spent some time with friends in one of the more recognizable Dallas landmarks, the Reunion Plaza Hotel. And separately, if you’ve never had a salad stuffed in a bread roll (at Bread Zeppelin) it sure is a delicious timesaver…

I love your continuing travelogues and your eye for the fantastic and the prosaic in our surroundings. It really give you a sense of the the place you are visiting. Thanks for sharing!
