MASSIVE…Big Bend National Park is larger than the state of Rhode Island, has five visitor centers and encompasses the entire Chisos Mountain Range. The park is more than 50 miles from one side to the other and sports three distinct ecosystems; the river, desert and mountains.

All are amazing but it is the Rio Grande River that makes this park special; it is the river that marks the international boundary between the United States and Mexico. On the eastern and western sides of the park are two canyons carved by the river; Boquillas Canyon in the east and Santa Elena Canyon in the west with its towering 1500 foot limestone cliffs.

In between the park has spectacular mountain and desert views with diverse plant and animal life.
