2016 Petit Le Mans

While in Atlanta, along with visiting friends and shooting a Georgia Tech football game, I did another of my favorite things and took in a race at Road Atlanta. It’s always fun to shoot the 10 hour race which features four racing championship classes all running at the same time. In years past I can remember coming out to see the race and there would be only about 10 to 12 thousand people in attendance, today it has grown in popularity and on this clear and sunny day I was watching with over 40 thousand of my closest friends.

This is always a “target rich” environment for the photographer. There are the cars and the racing and everything from a bagpipe corps to Miss Road Atlanta…
