It’s also one of the reasons I had to plan this trip more than a year in advance of my departure date…and why this trip cost so much to do (and worth every penny!)! From the start of the trip, whether landing on a dirt airstrip, on snow or a lake; riding in a luxury rail car; in a jet or ferry boat; bus or taxi; or in the back of a Police SUV (don’t get me started!), my modes of transportation made the whole experience that much more interesting and in some cases more challenging. For that reason I decided to document them and that is why you find yourself looking at a gallery of pictures of things you see almost every day…except the Crampons and maybe the back of a Police SUV. Well…I can think of a few of you that may have had that experience…you know who you are!
