Mount Shasta – California

Traveling north to my last destination I passed Mount Shasta which at 14,179 feet dominated the landscape as I drove around it on California Highway 89, Interstate 5 and US Highway 97. An active volcano, it is the second highest peak in the Cascades and the fifth highest in California.
