Glacier National Park – Going to the Sun Road Area, Montana

The Glacier National Park Going to the Sun Road is a spectacular 50 mile long road through the heart of the park. When I pulled up to the park I wasn’t even sure whether I would be able to travel the full length of the road as plows were still clearing the snow near Logan Pass when I began my trip. Lucky for me they opened the road two days before I arrived. Punctuated by towering mountain peaks, U-shaped valleys and glistening lakes the Going to the Sun Road had something dramatic to see around every corner.
