Glacier National Park – Many Glacier Area, Montana

North of the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park is Many Glacier. This area boasts massive mountains surrounded by glaciers and lakes as well as the Many Glacier Lodge, an Alpine Chalet style hotel built on the shore of Swiftcurrent Lake in 1915. I took a boat/hiking tour that traversed Swiftcurrent Lake and Lake Josephine to get to Grinnell Lake to view the Garden Wall and Swiftcurrent Glacier. But most spectacular was my early morning viewing of Grinnell Point in the glass-like Swiftcurrent Lake.
