2011 Kitt Peak National Observatory

Images of Kitt Peak National Observatory, home of the world’s largest collection of optical telescopes is located high above the Sonoran Desert on the Tohono O’odham Reservation approximately 60 miles west of Tucson in Southern Arizona. It is home to twenty-four optical and two radio telescopes representing eight astronomical research institutions. Elevation: 6875 ft.
