Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Images from the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park in Northwestern Arizona, taken in May 2008.

The spectacular views from numerous points along the South Rim are highlighted by the changing weather conditions as well as the light of the day. I was able to photograph at sunset and watch as the buttes and formations slid into the shadows creating dramatic “islands of light” effects within the canyon.
