Tucson, Arizona

First settled by the Spanish in 1775, Tucson is primarily a mixture of Spanish and Mexican culture. Some of the Presidio San Agustin del Tucson still remains at the corner of Washington Street and Church Avenue. In the last few decades the Barrio area of downtown Tucson has seen a rebirth represented by the refurbishment of many of the old adobe buildings. And finally, some of Tucson’s early twentieth century history is represented by the Hotel Congress and the Rialto Theater.
