This is a cast metal figure I made about 30 years ago. It's about 4 inches tall and has been through many wars in those 30 some odd years. My kids destroyed the figure several times and it shows. The paint has been touched up so many times it's probably thicker than the paint on our house.
Anyway, I shot this while playing around with a Sigma EF-500 DG Super off camera in full manual mode at 1/2 power with a 3/4 CTO gel. The flash was fired with a CTR-301P wireless trigger through a small shoot through umbrella. If you don't pay attention to the roughness of the figure the shot turned out pretty nice. The background was cobbled together using a black foam core board and a miniature Bamboo plant one of my daughters bought for the kitchen table. This "shoot" was influenced by David Hobby's Strobist website.
