This was the last leg of my last trip while I was stationed in Italy. It was the week before the summer solstice, so it never got dark. I made it north of the artic circle, so I was able to witness the midnight sun as well. A couple of days into the Norway leg, I ran into John. We had a similar itinerary and had a lot in common to talk about, so we traveled together for 6 days.
