Wexford Races are usualy held monthly - sometimes twice a month . This meeting was to coincide with the local Opera Festival - and comprised Hurdles and Steeplechase . Races on flat are also held at course . Flat season now near ending and National Hunt season beginning .
basically flat season = summer racing
national hunt = winter - but increasingly summer as well . Cheltenham , Aintree, Puncgestown etc are some of main national hunt festivals - and Epson , Ascot , York - some of main Flat racing Festivals
