I browsed through a lot of the B+W photos Jim and despite using lower ISO settings on the Canon, as you rightly said, the Sigma ones simply stand out in clarity and tonal impact. Could be that different processing for the Canon images would improve them but just basing thoughts on what you have shown here ... I think you know the answer yourself. Just going to check your colour shots.
