This one Jim shows that the quality from the Canon is greatly improved when sensible ISO ratings are used. The colour and general quality is far superior in this shot to those taken using 800, 1600 or even 3200 - and with many shot at those high ISO ratings, the shutter speed and aperture mostly seemed unnecessary for the subject - meaning, as an example, far to fast a shutter speed for a relatively simple subject - I would remind you of the shots you presented about 1+ years ago using exposures like (from memory) 1/60th @ f8 for street scenes (moving people) with the Olympus you were using at that time. Hope this helps you perhaps reconsider the camera settings for most shots - which generally comprises a good body of work.
