Located just 20 kilometres from Stockholm's city center, this national park protects the largest remaining area of old-growth forest south of the Dalälven River. The wilderness here consists of rift valleys covered in pine and spruce woodlands, rocky outcrops, lakes, bogs, and other freshwater environments. There are many well-groomed trails winding through its boundaries. Entrance is free!
