The OFNC's biannual trip to Point Pelee took place from May 10-14th, 2023, giving us two full travel days and three full days of birding. The first two days we birded Point Pelee National Park; the third day we went to Rondeau Provincial Park in the morning and Hillman Marsh in the afternoon. There were 43 of us in total, including four leaders and our tirelessly efficient organizer Martha. The weather was cooperative with no high winds, snow or rain, and we only had one misadventure when the bus broke down after we arrived at Hillman Marsh (thankfully our driver was able to fix it after being taxied into Leamington to get a part at Canadian Tire). It has been 6 years since I've last visited Point Pelee, and although we didn't encounter any fallouts and photography was difficult, I highly enjoyed the experience.
