Toothed Somberwing (Euclidia cuspidea)
Hodges #8731

Hurdman Park

These moths prefer grassy wooded edges, clearings and meadows with long grass. In flight, they greatly resemble skippers of the genus Erynnis (the duskywings); they flush from the ground and fly rapidly for 20 meters or so before dropping back to the ground.
