Decorative relief carving: Roses

I believe this is a Tudor Rose, the symbol created by England's Henry VII when he came to the throne in 1483 and ended the Wars of the Roses.
The Tudor Rose combines the White Rose of York and the Red Rose of Lancaster. Today, the Tudor rose is used as the plant badge of England.
