One of the tall windows of the church which overlooks the little garden. This church was built from local Nepean fieldstone in 1932 after the original building was demolished. The original Knox Presbyterian Church was built in 1874, and was said to be one of the most beautiful places of worship then in the city. However, it stood in the way of Prime Minister Mackenzie King’s dream for a more beautiful nation’s capital, and was expropriated and torn down in order to widen Elgin Street.
