Castle Wartburg locates about 200 km from Frankfurt, before the re-union of Germany it belonged to the DDR. The respected woman, st. Elisabeth came from Wartburg, well-known for her generosity and warm heart. Today many hospitals are built after her name.
Another famous person related to Wartburg is Martin Luther. During his stay in Wartburg, he translated the Bibel from Latin into German languange, which bacame the foundation of the protestant.
