青龙峡 Green Dragon Gorge

The green dragon gorge is located in the surburb of Beijing, about one hour drive from downtown. Its name comes from the lake, which looks like a green dragon from the top of the mountain. It is a natural park built beside part of the old Great Wall, and the best way to visit here is to climb the mountain by foot than take the cable car down. So you can really enjoy the sight of the old wall ruins on the way up and be fascinated by the parnorama view of the gorge and the "Green Dragon" from the cable car.
